DMCA Policy

MAF JOBZ is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. This DMCA Copyright Policy (“Policy”) outlines our procedures for addressing copyright infringement claims and our commitment to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that any content on MAF JOBZ infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a Notification of Alleged Copyright Infringement (“DMCA Notice”) to our Designated Copyright Agent.

Your DMCA Notice must include substantially the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., a URL or specific page link).
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

2. Designated Copyright Agent

All DMCA Notices must be sent to our Designated Copyright Agent at the following address:

Please be aware that any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

3. Our Response to a Valid DMCA Notice

Upon receipt of a valid and complete DMCA Notice, MAF JOBZ will take the following steps:

  • We will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
  • We will make a good-faith effort to notify the user who posted the material that we have removed or disabled access to it.
  • We will provide the user with a copy of the DMCA Notice (with the personal information of the copyright holder redacted, as appropriate).

4. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you are a user of MAF JOBZ and your content has been removed due to a DMCA Notice, and you believe that the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification to our Designated Copyright Agent.

Your Counter-Notification must include substantially the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which MAF JOBZ may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA Notice or an agent of such person.

5. Our Response to a Valid Counter-Notification

Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notification, MAF JOBZ will take the following steps:

  • We will promptly provide the copyright holder who submitted the original DMCA Notice with a copy of the Counter-Notification.
  • We will inform the copyright holder that we will replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it in 10 business days unless we receive notice from the copyright holder that they have filed a legal action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, MAF JOBZ reserves the right to terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers. We will maintain a record of DMCA Notices and Counter-Notifications to identify users who repeatedly infringe on the copyrights of others.
